| The General Chiropractic Council (GCC) |
| The General Chiropractic Council was formed in 1994
by an Act of Parliament. It exists to protect patients by regulating chiropractors, sets
standards of education, conduct and practice in the UK. The GCC also maintains a register
of chiropractors and develops the profession. It is illegal for anyone in the UK to use
the title of 'Chiropractor' without being registered with the General Chiropractic
Council. |
The British Chiropractic Association (BCA)  |
| The BCA provides its members with professional support, protection of standards
and full indemnity insurance. The BCA is also involved with the promotion of the
chiropractic profession. |
